What to Expect
Each week we want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and creative atmosphere that are a part of the Epicenter experience. And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions. How do I get there… what should I wear… what’s available for my kids… what should I expect in church? Here is a quick look at what you can expect each week at Epicenter Church:
How do I get there?
We are located at 4801 Long Beach Blvd. Our main cross streets are Long Beach and Del Amo. Click here for map.
What should I wear?
We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. Most people will dress in casual weekend attire, so dress how you feel comfortable and you’ll fit right in.
What’s available for my kids?
We have something for the whole family. We offer classes from ages 2-18. We also have a family room where parents may sit with infants and toddlers while listening to the service. As soon as you walk in the building you will be greeted by a member of our welcome team just let them know the ages of your children and they will help you find the right class for each child. Your children will be taught by some of the finest people in the world. They will have loads of fun while learning about the bible and the love of Christ.
What should I expect in church?
From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you’ll be made to feel at home. Our greeting team will help you find anything you need, including our children’s area. After checking in your kids, proceed to our fellowship area (Aftershock) where our greeting team will welcome you, hand you our information-filled program and help you secure a seat so you aren't stressed out trying to find an open space. The program will tell you more about Epicenter. Please fill out the connection card sometime during the gathering.
• Grab some coffee and a snack. Feel free to stop by the Core Cafe before the service begins and grab some coffee, juice, or a snack. All first time guests receive a free specialty drink of your choice from our coffee shop. These services will also be available for your convenience immediately following the worship experience.
• Complete the connection card during the gathering. Inside your program will be a connection card. This is our way to communicate with you. We will never single you out during the service or show up at your door unexpected. This card is our way of getting to know you better and is also our future link to letting you know what is happening here at Epicenter. You can fill out as much information as you feel comfortable giving, then turn it in during offering or drop it off at the Welcome Center on your way out.
• Enjoy the Epicenter experience. We hope it will become the best hour of your week. You will be blessed by an anointed worship team who’s passion is to lead you into the presence of God.
• Check out the Welcome Center area after the gathering. In the Fellowship area, you can find information about our Life Groups, previous talks on CD, and information about our women’s ministry at our Welcome Center. Stick around and meet Pastors Joe and Sharla and other friendly members. Feel free to ask any questions about Epicenter as you grab a snack and coffee directly after the gathering. And don’t forget to pick up the welcome packet we prepared just for you.
• Please stop by the 10 minute party room located just outside the worship center to meet Pastor’s Joe and Sharla. They would love the opportunity to greet you before you head home. There is also a gift back waiting for you there with several goodies. So please stop by and pick that up on your way out.
so that people far from God may be filled with life in Christ
